It's a bank holiday today here in the UK. I read somewhere that this weekend is usually considered the start of autumn here. If you had told me that the last 2 years I wouldn't have believed you. Apparently, we had the pleasure of living in London during 2 really great summers. We could never figure out why people moaned so much about the weather here, especially the summers because they didn't seem so bad to us. This year, however, was a bit different. This year was much more typical and grey and wet for most of the summer. We had a few spells of gorgeous weather but that was it. We finally figured out why people complained so much this year! I'm glad that we're going back to nice hot summers and I'm especially glad that our new house has central air conditioning already installed!
I know, I know, you want something knitting related. Well, here's some yarn I got fromAdrian of Hello Yarn a while ago. It's 100% handspun & hand dyed. Isn't it gorgeous? I plan on making a hat & scarf set with it for this winter. I think it will look fabulous with my black wool winter coat. The other one is a little freebie that she sent me. I'm not sure what to do with it but I love it. If you haven't checked out Adrian's stuff yet, you really should because it's gorgeous. I've commisioned her to dye some yarn for me for the Shoalwater Shawl and I can't wait to see it!
I love their yarns. Very pretty colors. Are you still interested in those books??
