I'm home. I was so happy to finally get here yesterday. I managed to persuade Ada to sleep on the pillow at my feet in the front of the car for most of the trip. That made such a huge difference for the ride home. I was able to read and knit at the same time for most of the way without getting carsick which surprised me. I haven't been able to read in the car since I was a little kid.
I finished my trip knitting up last night while catching up on some TV shows. I never told you, but I made a sweater for my little brother while we were away. Now I just have to block the pieces and then seam them together.
Lastly, I have to get started on some Christmas knitting. I promised my 3 nieces & their Mom ponchos for gifts. They all really liked the one I made for my little sister. It's time to whip out the machine washable yarn and get some ponchos knitted. I also found out that my brother works in freezing cold attics all winter long installing heating ducts. I think some fingerless gloves are in order for him. I just have to get in touch with my sister in law and see if she thinks he will use them.
Here's a shot of my little sister wearing the poncho I made for her. I love it!

WELCOME HOME!!!!!
I bet Carmen was even happy to see Ada (though from what I hear she was enjoying being pampered by Cheryl) :-)
Glad you had a good time, your sister looks adorable in her poncho and looks really happy to have gotten it.
See you next week.
